Trauma

Trauma to the maxillofacial region includes nasal fractures, mandibular fracture, maxillary Fracture, zygoma or cheekbone fracture, orbital trauma, including orbital blowout fractures, and frontal sinus fractures. Fractures that are not out of place can often be treated without surgery allowing normal healing to take place.

This usually depends on the functional demands of the fractured part of the face. Out-of-place fractures are usually treated with an incision and dissection and then application of titanium plates and/or screws to hold the fractured segments into the correct position. This fixation allows for proper alignment and progression to normal bone healing. This will restore function and form for the fractured areas.

Dr. Lee completed residency training in New Orleans and has extensive experience treating facial fractures. He is an expert at successfully treating these fractures whether it be through surgery or non-surgical methods.
